Another use for No More Nails Wet Grab adhesive: Shoe/Boot Repair!

The reason why i’m writing this is because there is absolutely no word of anyone using the adhesive for such a purpose. I’m being specific about the wet grab type, since it is fully waterproof and won’t crack if flexed. It’s roughly $18 dollars for a tube, and it will last a real long time if it’s mostly used to repair shoes or boots.

While Shoe Goo/Amazing goop (same thing) has it’s purposes (real similar to silicone), it didn’t work out in my case. The sole started coming off of the shoe again. This time I injected the no more nails stuff, and waited for it to cure.

The sole likely isn’t going to come off anytime soon, nor is water going to get inside. Any excess can be wiped off, and if the shoe’s colour is black (or any other colour), a sharpie (acetone, alcohol or other chemical-based permanent marker) can ensure the cured, dry adhesive isn’t at all visible, though, after a while it might fade, it’s super easy to colour over it again so it won’t be noticeable.

If it can effectively replace nails (to a point) and keep water out, it’s got to be a great choice to repair your shoes (especially, work shoes). After all, if they cost $175 to $400, it’s better to repair than to buy new again and again – It prevents waste, saves you money and extends the useful life of the shoes (or boots) beyond just two years.
